The facility offers a wide variety of group fitness classes, indoor and outdoor tennis, heated indoor and outdoor pool, pickleball, racquetball, Squash, childcare, basketball court, in addition to a full selection of strength and cardio equipment.

In addition to the amenities found throughout the gym our programs include aquatics, racquet sports, youth classes, individual training opportunities, Weight Management program, Small Group Training, virtual fitness, and group fitness. Our group fitness classes range from kickboxing and cardio classes to indoor cycling and mind/body wellness. Strength training options include resistance equipment, free weights, and body sculpting classes.

Position Summary:

Create, implement and supervise individualized exercise conditioning and reconditioning programs for members.

Responsibilities

• Initially assess member and develop plan of exercise prescription based on member goals and medical history
• Demonstrate exercise equipment to patients including correct body position, safe use of equipment, and setting intensity.
• Observe members during exercise and correct as needed.
• Demonstrate self-pulse technique, rate of perceived exertion, talk test and target heart rate information for patients' use with all exercise.
• Review patients' progress with staff during staff meetings.
• Present education sessions on home exercise, benefits of exercise, stretching, and related topics to members as well as in monthly fitness staff meeting.
• Maintain exercise equipment by cleaning on a regular basis. Report any down equipment to the maintenance technician.
• Maintain current fitness certification and stay updated on current research.
• Follows policies, procedures, and safety standards. Completes required education assignments annually. Works toward achieving goals and objectives, and participates in quality improvement initiatives as requested.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum Education:

None specified; will accept any combination of formal education and/or prior work experience sufficient to demonstrate possession of the knowledge, skill and ability needed to perform the essential tasks of the job, typically such as would be equivalent to a Bachelor's degree. Preference may be given to individuals possessing a Bachelor's degree in a directly-related field from an accredited college or university.

Current BLS required.
