This role will lead a multi-building operation that full-time supports GDIT's customer mission operations in Sterling, VA. Our work depends on Facilities Manager joining our team to lead a team of facility maintenance personnel charged with ensuring and maintaining a safe, effective working environment for GDIT and customer personnel.

HOW A FACILITIES MANAGER WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
Manages facilities projects and plans facilities utilization. Supervises team of 5 to include non-exempt and exempt staff supporting facility maintenance, operations, and janitorial services.

Manages the overall operation and maintenance of assigned buildings, equipment, and grounds.
Determines needs for equipment leases, purchases, and services. Ensures vendors utilized meet necessary security and operational requirements and offer best value in pricing and lead time.
Ensures that projects meet specifications and budgets.
Ensures that necessary licenses and permits are obtained

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
Education: Bachelor Degree in a related discipline and/or military service
Required Experience: 7+ years of related experience managing multiple-site building maintenance and repair operations
Required Technical Skills: certifications in building management or related trades such as Certified Facility Manager (CFM) or similar and/or other engineering or technical certifications
Security Clearance Level: Secret
Required Skills and Abilities: Looking for a self-motivated leader who innovates, develops, and delivers. Must have the ability to work effectively under minimal supervision, demonstrate ability to interact with all levels of an organization in a professional, diplomatic, and tactful manner, and work as a member of a cohesive team.

The likely salary range for this position is $91,811 - $115,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
