This senior financial leadership role offers the opportunity to drive strategic financial planning and operational excellence within a fast-growing organization in the building industry. As a key member of the executive team, you will translate business strategy into actionable financial plans, provide insights that shape organizational growth, and optimize processes across accounting, budgeting, and forecasting. The position combines hands-on financial management with strategic advisory responsibilities, providing a broad impact on decision-making and long-term business performance. This is an in-office role in downtown Austin with future hybrid flexibility.

Accountabilities

  • Serve as a trusted financial advisor to the executive team, offering insights to guide strategic initiatives, growth, and risk management.
  • Translate business strategies into financial targets, forecasts, KPIs, and long-term proformas.
  • Lead financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and multi-year modeling processes.
  • Provide actionable financial analysis and deliver insights on trends, forecasts, and performance metrics.
  • Oversee cash-flow planning and ensure liquidity and financial stability across operations.
  • Evaluate capital investments, ROI, and support decisions on strategic growth initiatives, including real estate and technology.
  • Optimize financial processes, identifying opportunities for cost savings, margin improvement, and operational efficiency.
  • Travel (~10% of the time) to support regional office needs and cross-functional collaboration.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; CPA certification is a plus.
  • Strong GAAP accounting knowledge and expertise in financial planning and analysis.
  • Experience managing accounting functions, including payroll, A/R, A/P, project accounting, invoicing, and reconciliations.
  • Proven ability to analyze financial data and provide strategic recommendations.
  • Experience with financial reporting, tax compliance, and risk management.
  • Advanced proficiency with ERP software; experience with VantagePoint or Deltek is a plus.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills with ability to design complex spreadsheets.
  • Strong business acumen, analytical mindset, and excellent communication skills.
